Tina Samara brings a wealth of tennis expertise to her role as an assistant coach at Colorado, entering her third season with the program. With 21 years of experience as a tennis professional and coach at national, collegiate, and professional levels, Samara's career highlights include playing on the USTA/WTA/LTA Pro Tour and representing Norway in the Federation Cup. Her prowess on the court is evident from her qualifications for the U.S. Open singles draw in 1994 and 1995, showcasing her skill and dedication to the sport at the highest levels of competition.
A graduate of the University of Georgia with a bachelor's degree in family and consumer sciences, Samara excelled as a tennis student-athlete, earning All-American honors, contributing to the Bulldogs' national championship team, and achieving top rankings in doubles play. Her bilingual abilities, with fluency in Norwegian, add another dimension to her versatile skill set.
